Many people are not aware that it is not just birds that get oiled during a spill.

Even small spills can severely affect marine wildlife.
The effects of oil in the marine wildlife cause many problems such as hypothermia in birds.

Moreover,  by doing that you reduce the effects that cause to birds like hypothermia in birds by reducing or destroying the insulation and waterproofing properties of their feathers.
Furthermore, it is essential to try to stop the petrol contamination in order to help birds and marine mammals not to become easy prey, as their feathers being matted by oil make them less able to fly away. For this reason, people have to control the waste from Oil Ships. For example, oil ship must have a strict control in port if an oil ship lose oil, it should not be allowed to go to the sea.
Another point is that oil can cause damage to the insides of animals and birds bodies.
For example, by causing ulcers or bleeding in their stomachs if they ingest the oil by accident.
What is more, birds lose body weight as their metabolism tries to combat low body temperature.
On the other side, we need oil for different reasons.
We constantly use oil when we use a car, bus and all means of transport which are necessary to our daily life, like go to work and travel.
As a result, oil is necessary for our life nowadays, but we can reduce the contamination by using the energy from the sun and not from oil.
Therefore, if our houses and transport are making by solar energy, we can reduce pollution a lot.
All things considered, though it seems to me that we have to reduce de use of oil improving with other things like solar energy, stopping dropping your rest of cooking oil in the water clock and have a strict control in the port about the lose oil from oil ship.
