Es un CD autoarrancable que es muy útil cuando el sistema operativo primario no pueda ser iniciado. El Hiren's boot cd tiene una lista extensa del softwares, las utilidades con funcionalidad similar en el CD se agrupan juntas. La versión actual contiene varias utilidades tales como:
