Tras una serie de temblores submarinos se han liberado unos peces prehistoricos devora-hombres en el Lago Victoria, en Arizona, en una población que en las vacaciones de primavera se llena de gente joven para divertirse. Allí, un grupo de personas deberá unir sus fuerzas para sobrevivir a estas criaturas, e incluso alguna de ellas tendrá que salvar a su familia y evitar que sean devoradas...
