Split Second es un juego de carreras callejeras de acción, llevadas a cabo como si de un reality show se tratase. Corre a través de los circuitos urbanos plagados de explosivos con el objetivo de convertirte en el campeón de la temporada. Compite usando potentes vehículos a través de los intrincados circuitos urbanos. Los jugadores ya no solo tendrás que lidiar con los oponentes, sino que además los circuitos en constante cambio supondrán un reto añadido. Edificios y estructuras derribándose sobre la carretera, agua, fuego, humo y todo tipo de peligros que dificultarán la visión y supondrán cambios constantes en el recorrido. Si una ruta se abre, otra se cierra. Todas las acciones están controladas por los pilotos una vez hayan adquirido la habilidad y elegido el instante, por lo que cada carrera será completamente diferente hasta el último momento. Derrapa, salta, evita escombros y cruza túneles inundados. Las reacciones en Split Second estarán condicionadas por la evolución del entorno causada por las explosiones y la destrucción. No te conformes con correr en el circuito. Domínalo!
