Sinopsis
Sandra Bullock interpreta a la excéntrica creadora de crucigramas Mary Horowitz quien, después de una corta pero dulce cita a ciegas, se enamora del apuesto camarógrafo de noticias por cable Steve. Convencida de que son almas gemelas, Mary sigue a Steve por todo el país, motivada por las acciones egoístas del reportero de noticias Hartman Hughes. En el camino, Mary hace amistad con un varias personas muy pintorescas, que la hacen reflexionar acerca de su viaje.
