SINOPSIS
 
La película gira en torno a Ray Breslin (Stallone), un experto en seguridad que acaba siendo encarcelado en una prisión de máxima seguridad en cuyo diseño y construcción precisamente colaboró, y la cual cuenta con una serie de medidas a cada cual más extrema que el ahora convicto deberá sortear para fugarse. Schwarzenegger por su parte interpretará a Church, un hombre con muchos matices entre los que destaca ser el encargado de mantener la humanidad de los presos en sus momentos más oscuros a medida que luchan unidos para mantenerse en vida. Jim Caviezel dará vida al alcaide de la prisión.
