Media Player Classic es un reproductor de audio y video similar en apariencia al clásico de  sólo que mucho más ágil.Es capaz de reproducir vídeos, discos , audio CD, archivos Flash,  y una casi inacabable lista de formatos de vídeo, audio e imagen. Todos ellos siempre que dispongas del correspondiente codec instalado. Entre sus muchas funciones destaca la posibilidad de reproducir a distinta velocidad y la increíble facilidad para ver un vídeo y mientras reproduce otro archivo de audio. Posee un pan & scan brutal, permitiendo adaptar la imagen a cualquier formato imaginable ya establecido (especialmente pensado para ver el PC en diferentes tipos de televisor) o adaptarlo manualmente, ampliando, reduciendo, ensanchando, alargando o estrechando la imagen a tu voluntad. Resumiendo, es rápido, intuitivo, posee multitud de opciones útiles (algunas que difícilmente encontrarás en programas similares) y es totalmente gratuito (admite donaciones).
