Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock es el tercer episodio de la serie de videojuegos Guitar Hero. El juego ha sido publicado por Activision y RedOctane, con Neversoft como el desarrollador para las versiones de las consolas PlayStation 2, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 y Wii y para los ordenadores Aspyr Media. Debido a la adquisición de RedOctane por Activision, Harmonix ya no esta envuelto en los títulos de la serie Guitar Hero (en cambio, la compañía está desarrollando actualmente Rock Band que sera su competidor). El juego además incluye a Slash ( Guns n’ Roses/Velvet Revolver), Tom Morello ( Rage Against the Machine/Audioslave),y Bret Michaels (Poison) como caracteres seleccionables.
